URGENT ALERT: US Airport Security Raised
In response to the security threats abroad, the United States this morning, has clamped down on airport security across the country. Any members of Baja Safari are advised to stay updated on travel plans over the weekend and possibly into next week.
1st UPDATE: From the US: “There may be delays at your local airport”. June 30
2nd UPDATE: Land Ports of entry cross times for the last 24 hours have been normal. July 1
3rd UPDATE: Land Ports from Mexico are reporting elevated crossing times as a result of the holiday weekend and an unreported elevated security level, looking at traffic from Mexico.
4rth UPDATE: The unreported yesterday, went widely reported today. VIPR Security teams are now at American airports. Travel delays are reported today.
5th UPDATE: Fifth of July. With many Americans having the rest of the week off, travel times will be higher than normal for the rest of the week into the close of the weekend.
Mexico Travel EXPECTATIONS: For the next week, considering that the 4rth of July holiday is running through the weekend of July 7 & 8, crossing times will be longer than the norm. Airport travel will also be slower than normal.
