Register your travel to Baja, Mexico

The Baja Safari Travel Club and the American Consulate in Tijuana point to a smart move in travel safety. Register your Baja, Mexico travel plans prior to departure, to ensure in case of an emergency that family and friends have a head start in assisting you. The State Department of our United States of America government through the American Citizen Services Division of the Consulate in Tijuana, and elsewhere in the Republic, are the only legal represenatives of American Citizens in Mexico. In a medical emergency, legal scrape or other serious “freedom matter”, these are the people to count on. Does your Freedom matter?

Register your Baja, Mexico travel at https://travelregistration.state.gov/ibrs/

Baja weather conditions

We are now midway through the eastern Pacific Hurricane Season. The aguacerro cycle, some call it ‘monsoon season’, because its the rainy season for Baja South and often Baja North, is in full swing. Tormentas ’storms’ are hitting all over the Baja. Its really a hit and miss situation. Unless you are a Baja Safari Member. As a member, you get FREE weather reporting year round, TOLL FREE from Baja.

August and September are the months to really watch out for changing weather conditions. September is the hurricane month in Baja South, keep alert and stay tuned here for real time information.

Honestly, if you are one of those, “the internet has everything I need” characters, or the one of the dwindiling list of, “I’ve been there a million times, don’t need the info” types…well you have alot to learn about the Real Baja. And if you are on one of those “bulletin boards” and think you are getting reliable weather information, the National Weather Service just finished a study proving such sources are “wholly unreliable”.

The Baja Weather Service of the Baja Safari Mexico Club has provided services for over ten years, accurately predicting even the exact courses of hurricanes. Just ask Baja Legend Bob Van Wormer of the Hotel Palmas de Cortez fame. “BWS exactly forecasts for us every year. For over seven years, BWS provided the best weather information, anywhere”.
