TRAVEL WARNING Deluge rainfall causes washouts
Catavina, Baja Weather Service- Deluge rainfall, caused by the passing large storm reported by BWS over the past week, has caused several washouts on Baja. One in Catavina, continues to complicate travel on route 1. The washout should clear today.
The massive sub-tropical storm, brought several inches of rain to Cabo, an inch and half to La Paz and well over two inches to many parts of the central deserts. In San Diego and Tijuana, some remote locations received over three inches of rain through the storm.
The current forecast reflects clearing conditions for the southern two thirds of Baja, with the northern half clearing more on Sunday. Many lingering showers, north of El Rosario, will persist on Saturday, with some heavy downpours possible. Clearing Sunday.
